Natural Biodiversity, in partnership with Jackson Township, Cambria County, and local Boy Scout Troop 204, worked to complete a community habitat restoration project on May 26, 2007. Leidy Park is the site where 12 large trees and more than 100 shrubs and herbaceous species were planted. The project created a scenic wildlife habitat that also serves as a casual resting area for those using the site’s trail, ultimately increasing the aesthetic appeal of the park and potentially boosting its use by the local community. This project was the first one designed, planned, and implemented by Natural Biodiversity.

This habitat restoration was made possible with the cooperation and assistance of the National Wildlife Federation, USDA Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service, Jackson Township, AmeriCorps, National Wildlife Federation, and Boy Scout Troop 204.
